Grand Master Kang Uk Lee (10th Dan)

 

Grandmaster Kang UK Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 24, 1936. At the age of 13, he became a member of the Moo Duk Kwan and began his training directly under Grandmaster Hwang Kee. Three years later, at the age of 16, he was awarded his first Dan (#70).

Adelaide Tang Soo Do is a registered club with the prestigious international Tang Soo Do (Soo Bak Do) Federation, headed by Grandmaster Kang Uk Lee, the highest member of the Moo Duk Kwan Family.

ATSDA is dedicated to the provision of high quality Korean Martial Art education and training.

The total activity of ATSDA is dedicated towards providing a stimulating harassment free environment for students. The instructors are encouraged to explore new ideas in teaching, learning and research and to pursue technical initiatives compatible with the ATSDA ethos.

Since its inception in 1999, Adelaide Tang Soo Do Academy has established the school to be one of the finest schools teaching quality Korean Martial Arts. The unique approach develops a quality of life that very few people get to experience. The realistic approach to self protection is exclusive to ATSDA, and the recognition of this principle on our current society is paramount to the club.

The philosophy at ATSDA is for students to become strong and well balanced, developing power of mind, body, strength, discipline and humbleness. Each student is taught with sincerity so that they can grow and develop; to become the best they can be.

In 2000, ATSDA achieved Gold and Silver in Los Angeles; in 2003 Gold and Silver in Malaysia; in 2005 Gold and Silver in London, and in Greece 2007 Gold and Silver once again.
